Sheshadri (Dharmendra) runs a gang with four other people. His man is on his way to Bangalore to execute
a deal when he is bumped off. The gang falls apart gradually with many members dying.
There is a gaddar (traitor) amongst them and the movie goes about tracing his activities.

The Spiel: |
The movie is an out and out thriller. It is the second outing of the Director, Sriram,
his first being the very creditable Ek Hasina Thi. Neil Mukesh is the grandson of
the yesteryers singer Mukesh and his debut has all the wow factor. He is seen as
an upcoming and a smart youngster. Daya Shetty is part of the longest running teleserial
CID. Vinay Pathak is seen in a serious role for the first time. Rimi Sen has also
come up with a good performance. Dharmendra has had a great year so far, with a
wonderful performance in Metro, Apne and now Johhny Gaddar.

The Feel: |
The director has paid a tribute to Vijay Anand and the novels of James Hadley Chase.
The feel of the movie is superb. The script is a total winner, dishing out thrills
and chills aplenty. All edge of the seat, nailbiting stuff. Great to see talented
directors coming to the forefront and bringing quality movies to the viewers jaded
by usual hollywood copies. |
